Google today bought youtube as a part of a 1.65 billion dollar deal. I have fond memories of classic things that I have seen on the tube, including watching the whole "Trapped in the Closet" saga with bensmasher.
Now that Myspace has been bought by Murdoch and Del.icio.us by yahoo, this leads to the question of what internet phenomenon will be snatched up by a global giant. Or if this will lead to another dot.com bust like before.
I guess only time will tell.
